Overcrowded hall at East Ridge High School

Over the next 10 years, more than 3,500 potential new K-12 students are expected to move into the district. Current projections show that 15 schools will be over capacity and we will have a deficit of nearly 2,500 K-12 seats for students by 2031 if we do nothing. To help, SoWashCo Schools will ask voters to consider approval of a $462.6 million bond on Aug. 9, 2022.

SoWashCo Schools responds to the recent shooting death tragedies in a New York grocery store and an elementary school in Texas.

Please review our safety protocols and how we ensure student safety. We have also provided resources for families about how to answer your child's questions about what they are seeing on the news.

Fifteen SoWashCo Schools students were selected for the Minnesota Music Educators Association All-State music ensemble for the 2022-23 season. These students were selected amongst hundreds of high school students around the state. This is one of the highest achievements for a high school musician.

Meals are available to students in grades 6-12 for this Friday’s flexible learning day. Families can pick up two free meals (one breakfast and one lunch) for their child in middle or high school from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 13 at the East Ridge High School activities entrance or the Park High School main entrance.

SoWashCo Schools is debuting a new online school boundary tool that will make it easier for families to determine which school their child will attend based on their home address.

The new mapping tool makes it easy for families to type in their address to find their elementary, middle or high school boundary. Users can even zoom in on a specific street to see which boundary school is designated for that area.
