As a service to our community, this space is for SoWashCo Community Education and non-profit groups to share special events, programs and activities.

SoWashCo Community Education Activities Flyers 

SoWashCo Community Education offers quality education, enrichment and athletic opportunities for all ages. These programs provide participants with opportunities to pursue their interests, expand their abilities and improve social skills in a fun and safe environment. To see our full list of offerings visit sowashco.ce.eleyo.com.

SoWashCo Community Education partners may send flyer distribution requests to flyers@sowashco.org. Requests must be for a current or upcoming SoWashCo Community Education activity or class. Please include the link to the class in Eleyo and a PDF flyer.

Community Organization Flyers

Groups/organizations that meet the eligibility criteria below must send a link to a webpage or PDF flyer about the event or program, a short description of the event or program, the organization name and the event organizer's contact information to flyers@sowashco.org.

Cottage Grove Police Youth Academy March 18-April 15, 2025

Join us for a Five-Week Journey into Public Safety!

High school students are invited to an exciting opportunity to explore careers in Public Safety. This immersive academy will feature:

  • Hands-on activities and simulations
  • Field trips
  • Skill-building in leadership, teamwork and problem-solving
  • Build essential skills, foster community, and make a difference!

Tuesdays nights, March 18-April 15 at the Hero Training Center, 10125 Training Center in Cottage Grove.

Animal Humane Society Camps and Educational Programs 2025

Animal Humane Society (AHS) camps and educational programs for kids and families. AHS's camps and programs are designed to help children explore their interests, interact with animals, and nurture their compassion for all living things.

  • Frosty February Camp, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday, February 17, Grades 3-6, Woodbury
  • Spring Camp, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday, March 7, Grades 3-6, Woodbury
  • Future Vet Workshop 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Saturday, April 12, Grades 3-8, Woodbury
  • Furry Friends and Films 6-9 p.m., one Friday per month, Grades 1-6, Golden Valley

Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce 2025 Scholarship Application

The Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce will award seven $1,000 scholarships to 2025 high school graduates from the Woodbury area. 

Criteria: 

  • Student must be a 2025 graduating high school senior who is either a resident of the Woodbury area or graduating from a Woodbury Area High School. 
  • Student must be pursuing post-secondary education for a certificate to four-year degree at an educational or vocational institution in the summer or fall of 2025.

Woodbury Parks and Rec Pee Wee Sports Winter/Spring 2025

Participants will learn the basic skills through fun drills and games. Pee Wee sports promotes sportsmanship, physical activity and peer interaction in a team atmosphere.

  • Age group: 3-6 years old
  • Price: Resident $55; Non-resident $70

Dodge Nature Center Pride Outside

Come to Dodge Nature Center to explore the changing seasons, learn something new in nature, and grow into your unique self in the outdoors. You’ll find an affirming community that welcomes students just as they are.

Pride Outside is an after-school program for 5th-12th grade youth, of any sexual or gender identity, and LGBTQIA+ allies.
