Providing nearly 1,750,000 meals to more than 18,400 SoWashCo Schools students every year with the help of over 140 employees.

All menus meet or exceed USDA standards. The breakfast menu consists of whole grains, lean protein, fruit and milk daily. The lunch menu consists of whole grains, lean protein, fruit, vegetables and milk daily. Complete nutrition and allergen information can be found on SchoolCafé.

Milk Shortage

Due to ongoing supply chain issues, our milk vendor can only provide limited amounts of milk because of a carton shortage. The limited supply will be distributed to elementary schools for lunch beginning Jan. 4. This means milk cannot be provided to middle and high schools and is not guaranteed at all elementary schools.

Because of this shortage, we are asking families to pack a full, reusable water bottle with their child for school each day.

Reusable Water Bottle Drive

SoWashCo Schools is partnering with SoWashCo CARES (Community Action Reaching Every Student) to help provide reusable water bottles to students who need them.

Free Breakfast and Lunch

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved South Washington County Schools to provide free breakfast and lunch for enrolled students for the 2021-22 school year. Paperwork is not required to receive free meals.

Free lunches include a regular entree menu selection and provided sides. Ala carte items including milk, bottled water, second entrees and extras will be available for purchase.

When federal funding runs out, meals will return to being charged based on eligibility. If you qualify, please be sure to complete the application for educational benefits and free and reduced price meals to provide funding for all students, receive additional benefits and be prepared for when regular meal prices resume.

Food Shortages and Menu Changes

School Menus

Due to nationwide shortages of certain food items, SoWashCo Schools menus may not accurately reflect what will be served that day. Schools will continue to offer nutritious meals to students each day. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
